Using a superregenerative NQR spectrometer, the temperature dependence of I NQR spectra in [N(CH3)4]2ZnI4 was measured between 167 and 335 K. Optical birefringence in the incommensurate phase of N(CH3) 42ZnCl4

2014 The optical birefringence of { N(CH3)4 }2ZnCl4 has been measured. Below T0, the exponent of its temperature dependence is identified to 2 03B1 03A6 = 0.87 ± 0.02.
